Originally installed in 2001, ‘Helmets/Pieces of Sky’ lets members of the public take a piece of a jigsaw puzzle depicting the sky from World War II-era army helmets. ‘The idea [is] that perhaps in 10 years’ time, people will come back together with their pieces of sky to build a better, safer sky for the future,’ said Rachel Kent, the show’s organizer and MCA’s chief curator.
