Argentina Extends Foreign Currency Amnesty

BUENOS AIRES—Argentina has extended a controversial tax amnesty for a second time, giving residents with hidden foreign currency another three months to bring the money out into the open, according to a presidential decree published Tuesday.
The program is designed to alleviate U.S. dollar shortages hobbling the economy but has fallen far short of attracting the $4 billion for which the government had initially hoped.
