NEW YORK—The United Nations Security Council on Saturday unanimously passed a resolution calling for increased humanitarian aid to Syria, including that coming across international borders.
The resolution, which wasn’t immediately enforceable, also called for an end to the siege of several cities, as nearly half of the country’s population has been caught in the three-year old civil war.
