Statoil, Woodside to Explore in New Zealand

WELLINGTON, New Zealand—New Zealand’s efforts to be discovered as worthy of international interest for its oil and gas reserves moved a step forward Thursday, with the latest round of exploration permits being awarded to newcomers to the area.
