Venezuela Divided One Year After Chávez's Death

CARACAS, Venezuela—A year after President Hugo Chávez died, supporters of the populist, shown above, commemorated his legacy with a military parade and rousing speeches, as his opponents protested here and in cities beyond.
The two starkly different approaches to remembering Mr. Chávez, who died after a long battle with cancer after 14 years of rule, reflected the deep political divide that has marked this oil-rich country.
