U.N. Resumes Aid Mission in Homs

HOMS, Syria—The United Nations resumed its aid mission to Syria’s third-largest city on Wednesday, attempting again to deliver food and medicine to residents of a besieged enclave after mortar and sniper fire interrupted the effort over the weekend.
Volunteers from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, which is participating in the mission, gathered early Wednesday on the northwestern outskirts of Homs, a city that was estimated to have at least a million inhabitants before the war. There they transferred sacks of flour, boxes…
