Ukraine’s hryvnia sank to a record low Tuesday amid growing expectations that the cash-strapped country will have to devalue its local currency significantly to secure much needed financial assistance.
The dollar rose to 9.75 hryvnia, up over 5% from Monday when it was trading around 9.27.
