U.K. Issues New Helicopter Safety Rules

LONDON—The U.K.’s airline authority Thursday banned offshore helicopters from flying in very bad weather and said that all passengers must sit next to an emergency exit as part of a package of safety measures following a series of accidents involving North Sea helicopter operations to offshore oil and gas rigs.
