BANGKOK—Street protesters were out in force again in Thailand’s capital Monday, but this time they marched to drum up funds for a group they previously blamed for electing the country’s populist, free-spending government: rice farmers.
“So far we’ve raised 9.4 million baht (roughly $287,000) and we’re hoping to get another large figure today,” Akanat Promphan, a spokesman for the self-styled People’s Democratic Reform Committee, which has been organizing three months of sometimes debilitating protests here….
