U.K. Opposition Pledges 50% Tax Rate

LONDON—Britain’s opposition Labour Party said Saturday that it would reintroduce a 50% income-tax rate for those earning more than 150,000 pounds ($247,000) a year if it wins the next general election in 2015 as part of its plan to bring a surplus on the current budget and get the national debt falling by 2020.
