SINGAPORE—Police in Singapore charged 24 Indian citizens in connection with a night of rioting that has fueled debate about the city-state’s heavy reliance on foreign workers.
The charges, read out Tuesday in southern Indian Tamil language in Singapore’s subordinate court, were for unlawful assembly and use of criminal force against police officers.
