BUENOS AIRES–The International Monetary Fund on Monday called on Argentina to revise its inflation and economic growth statistics by the end of March, giving the country more time to improve its highly questioned economic data.
The IMF’s admonition comes after it censured Argentina on Feb. 1 for failing to improve its economic statistics. The censure–the first of its kind in IMF history–opened the possibility of sanctioning the South American country if it didn’t improve its inflation and economic growth data. Possible…
