Venezuela Gives Maduro Emergency Powers

CARACAS—Venezuelan lawmakers granted President Nicolás Maduro powers to enact law without parliamentary approval for a period of 12 months, to aid his contested efforts to revive a stalled economy, root our corruption and subdue high inflation.
