WARSAW—Poland’s government Tuesday approved a draft law for a pension overhaul plan seeking to cancel privately managed sovereign bonds, saying the plan would lower public debt from nearly 60% of gross domestic product.
The draft law will be next debated in parliament, where the ruling camp holds a razor-thin majority.
